The Funny Girls Show opened its doors in 1994 and went on to become a Blackpool icon. Situated in a Grade II listed building that once was home to the Odeon cinema, Funny Girls has been entertaining audiences with their witty, risque, and glamorous drag show for 25 years. In 2005, they performed before Her Majesty the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance.

During April and May, Sarah was given access to Funny Girls to document what it takes to put together this iconic drag show. Her photographs cover the stars of Funny Girls – Betty Legs Diamond and DJ Zoe – in their dressing rooms, the backstage action during a live show, and the rehearsals for the new Summer show. She was also invited to shoot behind-the-scenes at the popular Icons show which performs every Tuesday.
